The Greenlandic Mineral Resources Authority has made the following announcement:

On 27 August 2020, the Government of Greenland approved further relaxations of financial obligations and terms for all mineral exploration licences in Greenland. The approval covers two items: a one-year postponement of the transferred outstanding annual exploration obligations, and a one-year extension of the licence period. The approval comes as a response to the COVID-19 outbreak and the global challenges in the mineral sector. It is an addition to the Government’s decision from 2 April 2020, which set exploration obligations for year 2020 to zero.
